The German Association for Security in Industry and Commerce cares for security in economy
The German Association for Security in Industry and Commerce cares for security in economy (ASW) represents the German economy in security issues. As a federation of regional security associations and professional associations it is nationwide present.
The protection of the German economy is the central concern of the Association. Therefor the ASW is in close interaction with the German security authorities and ensures both that information from the authorities find their way to the companies and hints from the economy arrive at the right places at the authorities. Thus, the Association has a hinge function.
To fulfill their tasks, the ASW has established various work groups and focuses on topics such as cyber security, counter-espionage services, fraud management and travel security. Thereby, the ASW enters into partnerships with other associations, safety authorities, universities and research institutions.
The ASW is based on regional security associations and national professional associations. Member of the ASW can be national organizations or associations as well as regional organizations and associations for security, as long as they represent at least a federal country.

Volker Wagner als Vorsitzender im Amt bestätigt
Berlin, 24. Juni 2014 - Die Mitglieder der Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Sicherheit der Wirtschaft e. V. (ASW) wählten auf ihrer ordentlichen Versammlung einen neuen Vorstand. Volker Wagner (Deutsche Telekom AG, VSW NW) wurde als Vorsitzender für weitere drei Jahre einstimmig wiedergewählt.
